Burning Mountain Festival – Get ready to celebrate the annual Burning Mountain Festival coming up on September 9 & 10. The theme this year is ”Celebration of Our Heroes….Who’s Yours?” The festivities will start at 5 p.m. on Friday Sept. 9th and the parade will start at 9:30 a.m. down Main Street.
Dedication of Capt. Will “Pyro” DuBois Memorial – noon, at Grand River Park on Sept. 10.
Air Force Capt. Will “Pyro” DuBois died Dec. 1, 2014 when his F-16 crashed while deployed in the Middle East. He was 30.
New Castle Community Market – Mark your calendars for the last farmer’s market in Burning Mountain Park from 4:30-7:30 p.m. on Thursday, last one Sept. 8 Music will be provided by Wally Bacon.
