RIFLE — The 9th annual spring clean-up for residents within city limits is happening April 26-28 for those east of Railroad Avenue and May 2-5 for those west of Railroad Avenue.
Items on the east side of town must be placed curbside by Sunday night April 24 and those on the west or south of Interstate 70 must be put out curbside by Sunday night, May 1.
Items being accepted are brush and tree limbs, less than four feet long, neatly stacked and tied, along with furniture and appliances (other than microwaves).
Unacceptable items include gas or air cylinders, gas tanks, sealed containers, waste oil, antifreeze, , paint, pesticides, paint thinners, liquids, TVs, copiers, computers/monitors, microwaves and tires. Violators will be fined.
Crews will only make one trip through your neighborhood, so it’s important that all items are ready at the above-mentioned times.
