Cities around the country are going to great lengths to deal with a dog poop pandemic, but the problem may be solved through an app that will allow you to hire someone to scoop your pooch’s poop out of your lawn. Or your neighbor’s lawn if a bad smell is emanating from their yard.
Some 78 million people have pets, and while they have the time to play on their cell phones, they don’t seem to have the time, or energy, to clean up after their pets.
The new app was recently introduced with the motto, “Your dog’s poop in someone else’s hands.”
The founders of “Pooper” say it was started because “there’s too much dog waste on the streets.”
“If dog shit wasn’t such a problem, Ii don’t think we’d get the response that we’re getting,” one of the owners said.
Cost of the service varies, but a “premium very high dollar” plan offers unlimited scoops in an unlimited radius.
