RIFLE, Colo. — Gary Miller, owner of Miller’s Dry Goods downtown, was shocked when he learned he received the John. B. Scalzo Lifetime Achievement award at the Rifle Area Chamber of Commerce annual awards banquet in March.

RIFLE, Colo. — Gary Miller, owner of Miller’s Dry Goods downtown, was shocked when he learned he received the John. B. Scalzo Lifetime Achievement award at the Rifle Area Chamber of Commerce annual awards banquet in March.
The award was decided by Scalzo and a committee. Scalzo is a former mayor of the city of Rifle and a longtime resident and involved citizen in the community.

Business of the Year: Columbine Ford
Not-for-Profit Business/Organization of the Year: Grand River Meals on Wheels
Oran H. Harmon Person of the  Year: Rifle Police Chief John Dyer
Ambassador of the Year: George Cutting of Crack in the Wall Gallery
Woman of Distinction: Blair Bracken, Rifle Animal Shelter
Young Professional/Rookie of the Year: Misty Kearns, Misty’s Coffee Shop in Silt.
