Bears, bears, bears, everywhere

Garfield County, Colo. —    A local florist and gift shop owner apparently made a small but unfortunate clerical error when two semi-trucks filled with teddy bears arrived at her front door step yesterday.

Shop owner Darlene Hicks was under the assumption she had ordered 50 teddy bears in preparation for the upcoming Valentine’s Day holiday, but somehow managed to order 5,000 bears instead. Now every nook and cranny of the shop is jammed with teddy bears and there’s no room for flowers, vases or anything else for that matter.

“My shop is absolutely packed and it looks like a science fiction movie!  I walk in the door and all I see is hundreds of eyes starring at me,” said Hicks.  “I am hoping to get these bears returned as soon as possible but it’s not clear when those semi-trucks will be able to get back.  I need to be selling overpriced roses, not under-priced teddy bears.”
