Waving…it’s not just for parades anymore…

Get those arms in shape in preparation for “National Wave Day,” which is happening on Sept. 20 throughout the country.
People are being asked  to wave to everyone they see, whether driving or walking down the side walk.
“We think National Wave Day will promote good feelings among people,” a spokesperson for the National Wave Day campaign said. “Who doesn’t like to be waved at?”
There is even an online course you can take to learn the proper way to wave, which includes the traditional “elbow, elbow, wrist, wrist” technique. However, waving with only your middle finger raised is not being encouraged, especially at local law enforcement officials…
“Waving is free and a great way to also work out your arms and get rid of that obnoxious jiggle under your biceps,” the spokesperson pointed out.
If successful, the group is also making plans for “National Smile Day,” in which everyone will be encouraged to smile at everyone they see, whether they like them or not. However, there are rumors that another group may be promoting “Stick Out Your Tongue Day” which could have some dicey repercussions.
