Wash your hound or your husband in new coin-operated washer

RIFLE, Colo. — There may be four or five car washes in the city, but the first-ever coin-operated “pet washer” has just recently opened up.
The facility allows you to put your dog in a crate in the middle of the bay and then put your coins in and use the sprayer on your pet. The wash options include “mildly dirty,” “moderately dirty,” and “filthy,” with other settings of “flea and tick bath,” “smell eliminator,” and “skunked.”
“It beats the hell out of wrestling the dog in the bathtub and getting water all over the floor,” said owner Sally Suds.
Following the wash, there are towels available for sale as well as little doggie treats.
“So far, it has been very well received,” Suds said. “I came up with the idea one night after having had several cocktails and trying to spray my dog with the garden hose.”
Suds does not recommend using the pet washer on cats, but she does say the coin-operated wash may be used on husbands who fail to bathe on a regular basis. Urinating while being washed is prohibited.
Cost of a pet wash is $4. Cost of a husband wash is $50.
